As a performer, educator, curriculum developer, and folk artist, I have traveled the US making and teaching music of all types with people young and old. Competent on a variety of string instruments, I perform regularly on the mandolin, fiddle and cello. Along with an active performance experience and over 20 years of teaching music, my research areas focus on the social interaction of music participation, parallel instrument pedagogy, and instructional technology.  My high energy style and expansive knowledge of American traditional music inspires learners’ creative abilities.
